Last October of this year (2012), I was able to re-visit Matabungkay Beach at Lian, Batangas.
The visit was not for me to enjoy the water but to capture the beauty of the sunset. It was my goal to put the colors of sunset of Matabungkay Beach into frame. I asked my 4 nephews if they are interested to join the trip. And in no time, they are all ready for the joy ride.
Lian Batangas is around 70 Kilometers away from where we are which is in Dasmarinas, Cavite. Taking the Aguinaldo Highway going to Tagaytay route, then taking the Tagaytay-Nasugbu highway. It was my first time to drive going to Matabungkay Beach, it’s great to have a GPS on my phone plus the signs on the road really helps alot. Finding and going to Matabungkay Beach is not hard. In no time soon, travelling less than 2 hours we finally arrived at the beach of Matabungkay.
Talking to some locals in the area for renting the floating cottages which cost me P700. If you didn’t brought any food, there are people in the area that offers to cook food for you. But you have to bargain to get less cost. Anyway, I was there to take photos and my nephews to enjoy the water as it is their first time to be in Matabungkay Beach.
So presenting the Sunset photos of Matabungkay Beach.
Matabungkay Beach may have lost it’s popularity, due to the growing and more beaches are being developed and found. But I must say that Matabungkay Beach still have its unique way to make us enjoy the area and the water. I surely going to go back again.
Hope you guys visit Matabungkay Beach of Lian, Batangas again in the coming summer.
