November 30, 2013 we where invited to witness the SUGBUAN FESTIVAL of Nasugbu, Batangas. The Mayor of the town Hon. Mayor Apacible welcome our group to cover the event.
We arrived at the town proper at around 9am. Greeted by people of Nasugbu we started to cover the First event of the day, the KAKANIN Festival. Where different Barangays, prepared their special Kakanin or Rice cake to be judge. People are excited and of course so do I. I wanted to taste all the Rice Cake they are making. So I talked and take photo of each contestant.
Here are some of the photos from the KAKANIN Festival of the Nasugbu, Batangas.
The raw materials that are needed for the Kakanin or Rice Cake. All are fresh and can be bought in the market. They may have the secret ingredients that still remain secret. Hahahahaha. If you want to find out you need to go attend the next Kakanin festival of Nasugbu, Batangas.
Oh I must tell you, its not easy to cook this Kakanin or Rice cake. You need a full strength to mixed the ingredients until it is totally cooked and ready. 2 or more people are needed and another back up to mixed it up. But when its done, I must tell you, it is truly worth your strength.
Those are just some of the Kakanin or Rice Cake that are made that day. Tasting each and every Kakanin truly made my day. Different barangay, different Kakanin and different taste and flavors. I want them all. No more diet at this time. I must say, one amazing experience and adventure again in this Kakanin festival in Nasugbu, Batangas. I want to go back next year.
Until the next Pinoy Adventure.
