Places to visit in Florida – Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens


Welcome to Florida and welcome to Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens. One of those places to visit if you are in Florida.

If you love nature, like the trees and waters you will  certainly enjoy walking in this beautiful 16 acres of Japanese gardens. With an exhibitions of Japanese arts in the museum galleries, a tea house, museum store and eat at their Japanese cafe.

Locations: Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens is located in 4000 Morikami Park Road, Delray Beach, Florida 33446

Hours: Museum and Gardens is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10AM – 5PM and the Cornell Cafe is Tuesday to Sunday from 11AM – 3PM. They are closed on Monday and major holidays.

Daily Admission Fee: For Morikami Member the admission is free. To know more about how to become a member visit Morikami website. For those who are not a member admission fee for adults (18+) is $15, Seniors (65+) is $13Military (with ID) $13college students (with ID) $11, Children (6-17) $9, children 5 and under is free.
Please note that no discounts are offered on festival days

What to expect and see at Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens?

There are so much to see at Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens. Their ever changing exhibits and gardens means there’s always something new to see. If you are into photography like I do, they do allow personal photography during regular operating hours. Only small camera bag and collapsible tripod are allowed to carry inside the garden. Any additional photography equipment as well as wardrobe changes are prohibited. For those private and commercial photography sessions must be scheduled in advance in their Facility Rental department.
